Honda Civic Type R Wins UK Car of the Year ‘Performance Car’ Category

The Honda Civic Type R has been crowned as the UK Car of the Year in the Performance Car category, earning recognition from a distinguished panel of judges.
Esteemed for its impressive performance and competitive pricing compared to its rivals, the Civic Type R garnered praise for its exceptional features.

In addition to this prestigious UKCotY accolade, the Civic Type R has received acclaim from TopGear, News UK, and Auto Express, solidifying its position as a standout performer in the automotive realm.

Rebecca Adamson, Head of Automobile at Honda UK, expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasising the Civic Type R's blend of thrilling performance and everyday usability. Judged by respected automotive journalists, the UK Car of the Year Awards acknowledges excellence across diverse automotive categories, setting high standards for performance, innovation, and quality.

Tom Sharpe, a member of the UKCotY judging panel, lauded the Civic Type R for its outstanding gearbox and turbocharged engine, praising its addictive driving experience, saying “The most powerful Civic Type R is also the fastest, but not at the expense of fun and drivability.
